School teams from across Tasmania will travel to Devonport this weekend to compete in the inaugural Touch Football Tasmania (TFT) Schools Championships, while Australia’s Men’s and Women’s captains will also be in attendance.

Meercroft Park will host the event, which will take place on Saturday, 6 April and Sunday, 7 April 2013.

The event will be contested in all age groups from years three and four through to years 11 and 12. 

Australian Men’s and Women’s Open captains, Steve Roberts and Louise Winchester, will travel to Tasmania be involved in the weekend.

The event will see the commencement of the selection process for Tasmania’s representative teams who will compete later in the year at their respective national events.
